About the Image
This photograph was taken in Sagres during the first lockdown in April 2020. What was meant to be a short family weekend turned into more than two months together in confinement, surrounded by nature and open space. That period became a time of introspection and a deeper connection with the natural world — a turning point that drew my photography more fully toward landscapes. In this image, the quiet alignment of the clouds against the clear blue sky brought me a strong sense of serenity, order and balance.

Scientific Perspective
Blue is often associated with calm, spaciousness and mental clarity, while white can evoke simplicity, lightness and openness. The clean contrast between the soft clouds and the clear sky creates a visually ordered composition that feels easy for the eye to process. Natural forms arranged with this kind of clarity can encourage a gentler viewing experience and a sense of visual ease.
